Viola ~ Chung-Wen Lee
Chung-Wen Lee is a Taiwanese violist active in the Kansas City area and Dallas, Texas. She learned to play the piano, viola, and zhongruan (a Chinese instrument) during her professional music training in Taiwan. In 2019, she acquired her bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance at UMKC, and continued her master’s program in the Conservatory. |
Flute ~ Rafael Ferreira
Rafael is a current DMA student at UMKC. He holds a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in flute performance from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and a Performance Certificate from the University of Wyoming. Rafael was the principal flute of the Goiânia Symphony for three years. He has given solo and chamber music performance in Brazil and the USA and has won prizes as a soloist |

The Brass Quintet
Three distinguished members of the US Army Band; Kyle Peck, John Powlison, and Daniel Venora join Alan Morell, principal bass trombonist of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and Claire Worsey, freelance french horn musician from the Washington DC Area to perform as our Brass Quintet. |
Vocalist
Lauren Southerland Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Lauren holds a Master's degree in vocal performance from the University of Missouri Kansas City and is currently studying for her Doctorate in Musical Arts. Lauren is also a private voice instructor, and has a passion for teaching students how to sing and enjoy music. |
