Born in 1998, Doriano Di Domenico is an Italian-Swiss violinist, and pedagogue. He received his bachelor's at the Pavia Conservatory in 2017, his Master of Arts in Music Performance at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in the class of M° Pavel Berman in 2020, his Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the same conservatory in 2022 and his Master's in Violin in the class of M° Luca Ranieri at Novara Conservatory. Di Domenico attended numerous masterclasses with masters such as Guido Rimonda, Pavel Vernikov, Anton Sorokov, Luca Ranieri etc. in Italy, Austria and Bulgaria. He is a winner of numerous national and international competitions such as the Caneres International Music Competition Vienna and Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition Brussels. His collaborations with orchestras and chamber ensembles have led him through all Italy and abroad (Vatican City, Switzerland, USA, Slovenia, France, Belgium, Giordania, Austria). His Master in Pedagogy's thesis was selected to be publicated in the "Quaderni del Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana" for Libreria Italiana Musicale. He gave a public presentation of his own thesis at the "Recontres Romandes de Recherche en Education Musicale" at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland, 2023). In 2024 he won the De Sono grant, using it to attend the Violin Advanced Course at Avos Project in Rome with M°Luca Ranieri. From 2023 he uses to play his own pieces (especially with the Medhelan Duo). One of his last collaborations was the making of the music for a scene of the film “Every Island Has A Name” made with Hilton Productions and Arcteryx by director Achille Mauri; for the film’s first screening in Milan in November 2024 he gave a live performance, premiering his “Arcipelagus Suite” op. 7 for Violin and Double Bass. Between December 2024 and January 2025 he will be concertmaster and soloist with the United Soloist Orchestra in a fifteen-concerts tournèe in China.
