Matteo Generani Born in Milan, Italy, Matteo Generani start playing the piano at the age of 10. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the Pavia Conservatory studying with Silvia Belfiore.
In 2017 he moved to the United States and earned his Master Degree in Piano Performance from Central Michigan University studying with Alexandra Mascolo-David. A student of Alon Goldstein, Mr. Generani is a doctoral student in piano performance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
He has also had the opportunity to study with other important pianists such as Fabio Luz, Wu-Han, and Peter Ovtcharov.
Mr. Generani is the winner of several piano competitions including the 2019 Villa Oliva Solo Performance competition in Italy, the 2019 White Lake Young Artist Solo Performance competition in Michigan, and the 2020 Concerto/Aria competition at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
He frequently performs in Europe and in the US both as soloist and in chamber ensembles. When not performing piano, he regularly performs on the harpsichord and on the organ.
